Development of an Investment Plan for National Lighting Testing Laboratory for Vietnam
IIEC has been awarded a contract by UNDP Vietnam and the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Public Lighting Project (VEEPL) to conduct an assessment on existing lighting testing laboratories in Vietnam and to develop an investment plan for a national lighting testing laboratory in Vietnam.
The purpose of the Development of an Investment Plan on National Lighting Testing Laboratory Project is to develop a comprehensive investment plan on development of a national testing and certification facility capable of testing various quality parameters of lighting products and issuing certification in compliance with national and international standards. The completed plan will be submitted to relevant national and local government agencies for consideration and future implementation. Initially, IIEC organized a project kick-off meeting in Hanoi on February 18th, 2009, and also established a Project Advisory Committee (PAC), in which participated members are recognized professional and high government official involved in EE lighting in Vietnam. IIEC plans to conclude the labs assessment in June 2009 and complete the 1st draft investment plan in July 2009.
