Opportunities for Energy Efficiency of Air Conditioners in South East Asia (2019 - On-going)
The project has two main objectives: 1) Conduct Research to provide background information establishing the role of air conditioning on electricity demand in Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, the status of regulations and programs governing the efficiency of those markets, and assessment of market trends; and 2) Plan, provide support and logistics for workshop.
Key activities were performed by IIEC during the project:
- Collection and submission of data and research analysis on the electricity sector overview, national energy efficiency policy landscape, market overview and market detail of the air conditioner market in Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
- Planned and organized a workshop in Bangkok, Thailand.
