Capacity-Building Programme – Poland (1996)

Launched in March 1996, this programme focused on the promotional and NGO outreach component of the GEF's Poland Efficient Lighting Project (PELP). A number of workshops on energy efficiency were organized for architects, builders, NGOs and local government representatives. The programme established a good working relationship with the National Agency for Energy Conservation (KAPE) in Poland, which led to the publication of a monthly bulletin for local communities on energy, money, and the environment.
