IIEC-Europe’s accomplishments in Romania include the following: 1) Worked with western and local partners on two Phare-funded projects; 2) Provided financial and energy training in capacity-building efforts for municipalities together with the Romanian Energy Cities Network (Orase Energy Romania, OER). The training emphasized transfer of practical skills such as energy database development, information dissemination, municipal energy planning and preparation of project proposals suitable for funding and implementation; 3) Set up a multi-country twinning program focusing on project finance and marketing for energy efficiency; and 4) Participated in a two-day Joint Implementation Workshop.
