Opportunities For Energy Professionals in Thailand and the Philippines

International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), a leading international not-for profit non-governmental organization, with a mandate to promote energy efficiency and environmental solutions, with headquarters in USA and regional offices in Asia, Africa and the Americas, is seeking highly qualified individuals to work on energy efficiency initiatives primarily throughout Asia, Pacific and Africa.


In Asia, IIEC has offices in Bangkok, Manila, Mumbai and New Delhi with projects throughout the Asia Pacific Region. The positions are based in IIEC offices in Bangkok and Manila; and require frequent travel primarily in the Asia Pacific Region.


Senior Energy Efficiency Specialists (2) – Thailand and Philippines

Candidates should have an advanced degree, preferably in engineering or economics, with a sound background in energy and environmental programs. Candidates should have at least 10 years experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM) and renewable energy. Experience preferably should include DSM program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; ESCO finance, energy efficiency standards and codes; energy resource planning and energy auditing. Experience in energy policy, climate change and regulatory issues are also desirable. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and project management skills. The ability to communicate well in English is essential. Work experience with international agencies and in developing countries will be an asset.


Energy Management Engineers (2) – Thailand and Philippines

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or economics, with a background in energy and environmental programs. Candidates should have at least 3 - 5 years experience in all or some of the following - energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM), energy policy, climate change issues and renewable energy. Candidates should have strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate well in English, both written and oral, is essential. The positions are open to Thai and Filipino nationals.
