Job Openings: Senior Energy Specialist/Project Manager, Philippines
17 May 2019 - International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), a leading international not-for profit non-governmental organization, with a mandate to promote energy efficiency and clean energy solutions, with headquarters in USA, is seeking a highly qualified individual to work on energy efficiency initiatives primarily throughout Asia, Pacific and Africa.
In Asia, IIEC has offices in Bangkok, New Delhi and Manila with projects throughout the Asia Pacific Region. The position is based in the IIEC Country office in Manila; and require frequent travel primarily in the Asia Pacific Region.
Candidates should have an advanced degree, preferably in engineering or economics, with a sound background in clean energy and environmental programs. Candidates should have at least 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, preferably including energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM) and renewable energy. Experience in energy policy, climate change, clean energy finance, sustainable urban development, off-grid/mini-grid electrification and regulatory issues are also desirable.
Candidates should have strong interpersonal, report writing and project management skills. Ability to communicate well in English is essential. Work experience with international agencies and in developing countries will be an asset.
